In order to increase soil penetration depth on dry, hard soils, additional ballast weights are available as a special option. The supplementary weight set consists of four 55 lb (25 kg) weights. The maximum supplementary weight that can be added to rigid machines is 440 lb (200 kg). There is a limit of 882 lb (400 kg) for folding 3-point mounted machines and the Catros+-2TS models with a working width of 13 to 23 ft (4 to 7 m).
